Open Letter to a friend clarifying my feelings about Obama...

The following was an open letter I sent to a very good friend of mine who is also a conservative who said some very nice things about my blog, which I appreciate. I wanted to post it here so my readers don't think I'm a racist or am blatantly against Obama simply because he is who he is.

Really, this is in response to a wholly different email I received thru Facebook from a former female friend (I'll call her "Cry-di" due to her childish reaction by mass email to a joke I made about Obama touching Bill O'Reilly's leg) of mine who accused me about 2 weeks ago for being "an Obama hater," "pretentious," and "an idiot." True, I am against his policies, but you'll have to read this to get a real grip of what I truly feel about the man, and that this is not a "personal" thing I have against him.

Without further interruptions, here is my open letter regarding my feelings on the President:

Dear Friend,

Thanks very much for the kind words and reassurance that there is some consensus with my thoughts and general distaste with the current state of the American political system. As much as I respect the office that Obama occupies, I think that he was (and could only have been) elected in a highly polarized political atmosphere due to the demonization and unpopularity of the war due to the mainstream media's blatantly biased coverage.

Unfortunately, he is a radical in every sense of the word. He's not only pro-choice, he's pro infanticide, as referenced by his "no" vote in the Illinois Senate on safeharbor for newborns born as a result of botched abortions. I believe that no matter what a person's views are on abortion, that there must be a line drawn-- because once a baby is BORN, it should never be left to die. Apparently Obama disagrees with that sentiment, yet he rides to the rescue of Guantanamo Bay Detainees who have been made to sit in stress positions or dunked in water. Personally, I think it's appalling that he puts the rights of non-American suspected terrorists over the rights of newborn American citizens.

Economically, he's a socialist. Socially, he's a communist. And fundamentally, he is a radical. Raised in the Chicago political machine (we both as Chicago natives know that it is not only probably, but certainly among the most corrupt political arenas in the entire country), he rubbed elbows with people like Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, PLO official and terrorist Rashid Khalidi, his own racist pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, corrupt real estate mogul Tony Rezko, and the former Governor of Illinois who is now currently under federal indictment and ajudication for multiple counts of corruption, Rod Blagoijevich. His campaign got more than $200 million in donations that were given to his campaign without requiring a name, address, or any other distinguishing characterisitc to help determine just where it came from.

I'm not going to be like the liberals who deny that Obama won the election, though. I accept the fact that he won. The margin that he won by was so great that any reasonable person would agree that no amount of the deceased voting, illegal immigrants voting, Republican voter suppression, voting machine miscalculation, or any other annomally could have reasonably tipped the scale in McCain's direction. That being said, though, Obama has lied not only to conservatives, but to his radical base as well.

Personally, he's got a likeable demeanor. He has charming children, even though his wife's attitude and overbearing Anti-American sentiment frankly scares me. Politically, though, he's a charlatan. He lied to the disenchanted liberal Republicans by saying he would "reach across the aisle" and be a uniter. He lied to his extreme-left Code Pink base by committing 17,000 additional troops to Afghanistan. (Which I have been advocating for before Obama was even thought of on the national political scale.) He has sold out his very few conservative supporters by spending our currency into oblivion and causing runaway inflation not seen since the Post-Carter era. Don't be surprised if soon we have a problem with stagflation in this country.

He sold out the American homeland by appointing Janet Napolitano (the lady who claimed that American Veterans were likely to possibly go "radical" at the Tax Day tea parties... which I got to take part in by speaking publically in Geneva IL) as the Secretary of Homeland Security. Someone with very little background in military, intelligence or homeland security. Napolitano did come from a border state, Arizona, but unfortunately Arizona has one of the most ineffective systems of border security in the entire nation. He sold out the intelligence committee by appointing the amicable and well-liked Leon Panetta as director of the CIA-- the only problem with that is, Panetta, like Napolitano, has NO EXPERIENCE in intelligence. Lastly, he sold out Americans who love being safe by appointing Rosa Brooks, noted left-wing attack do, to a DEFENSE DEPARTMENT POSITION. This is a person who has repeatedly referred to former President George W. Bush as a "war criminal." Yes, we have a far left nut who has access to classified documents at the United States Department of Defense. Don't get me wrong. I'm fine with level-headed liberals holding office, but when you've got people who are arguably left of Nancy Pelosi in these positions of power, I get a bit angry. Speaking of Pelosi, I don't even want to get started on the wasteful, disingenuous, radical Nancy Pelosi.

He sold out capitalists and libertarians by appointing Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury (as well as a whole host of others who also didn't pay their taxes), Geithner, a guy who has been a friend to Wall Street in the form of Golden Parachutes and bailouts, while, as country singer John Rich's (of "Big 'n Rich" fame) new song so eloquently puts, "the bossman takes his bonus pay and jets on out of town, but in the real world, they're shuttin' Detroit down."

Now, he is selling out America as a whole by consorting with tyrannical dictators like Raul and Fidel Castro, and cozying up somewhat to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and leaving our long-term ally and military powerhouse Israel in the dust. He listened to "The Nicaraguan Butcher" Daniel Ortega's hour-long rant about the evils of America. He allowed Hugo Chavez to symbolically flip the history of the United States the middle finger by handing our him a book about the evils of America and how we "raped and pillaged" South and Central American culture.

He has done absolutely nothing to contain the remilitarization and increased totalitarianism of Russia under Medvedev and Vladimir Putin. But what right would he have to speak out against Russia at this point? He himself is acting in totalitarian fashion. He's going to allow his Attorney General to possibly put Bush officials on trial for protecting America. The media, with the exception of AM talk radio, the Wall Street Journal, and Fox News Channel, is already virtually under control of the Obama administration. While I'm sure Obama is not dictating to NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC what to cover, the people in charge of these news outfits are far-left wingers. We have Jeffery Immelt in charge of NBC and MSNBC as the CEO of GE. We have Ted Turner in charge of CNN. And we have noted liberally-biased Katie Couric in the managing editor's chair at CBS. So I think it's absolutely fair to say that we have a biased media.

Again, I'm sure that if someone were just hanging out with Obama, and politics never came up as a topic of discussion, I think he'd be an amicable and even fun guy to be around. But I can name off 20 guys I went to high school with who were extremely fun to hang around with-- who I would not want anywhere near the nuclear switch or the Oval Office. Namely, because he'd never use the nuclear switch even if we needed him to, but also because I don't think he's fit for the post-- at least not yet-- at least not with his extreme radical views of today. Sure, they'd have been fun to party with in college, but that doesn't mean I want them as my Chief Executive and Commander of the US Armed Forces.

Thanks again, and sorry for perhaps wasting a good portion of your time with reading this rant, but I wanted to give you, and my other readers, a chance to see that I don't "hate" Obama. I don't call him a criminal like people called Bush. I don't call him a "moron," or other personally insulting words like that. I respect the office that he holds, but I am going to hold onto my right as an American to criticize his decisions when I deem them bad for our country.

Best regards,
Michael Stanek

My remarks at the Geneva, IL Tax Day Tea Party (April 15, 2009)

The following were my remarks at the Geneva, IL Tax Day Tea Party. I showed up expecting to follow along in protests, but I brought along some things I wanted to say, and they let me have a microphone for a while. Thanks to the Conservative Catholic Women's League and the other Tax Day Teaparty Organizers. My remarks follow pretty much word-for-word:

$51,292,553: Fifty-One Million, Two-hundred-ninety-two-thousand, five-hundred-fifty-three dollars total tax money requested by Representative Bill Foster

$1,200,000 for turning a railway pier into a path Dixon, IL

$550,000 for traffic signals for Pedestrians because it “increases healthy lifestyles” Batavia, IL

$750,000 to install a roundabout traffic pattern in Cortland, IL

$204,610 to buy 35 radios for police—these radios must be made of SOLID GOLD. (North Aurora)

(Village of Wayne’s Police Department could replace all their radios AND computers for just $16,000!) --Why not just buy 35 Boost Mobile cell phones at $50.00 a month? They would last a good 7-8 years and would cost less.

$2,704,610 Taxdollars that is just blatant pork just from reading the purpose of the requested funds. HOW MUCH OF THE REST OF THE NEAR FIFTY-TWO MILLION DOLLARS IS PORK TOO?

You know, until I read this stuff, I didn’t know all that much about Bill Foster. But after reading his budget request outline that he sent to our Federal Government, I’m afraid that Mr. Foster is out of touch with the hard working Americans who put him in office. And not only that, but in addition to the proposal he sent on April 8th, he is also now “accepting project ideas for the SAFETEA-LU” program, which gives local governments access to all types of federal pork for anything remotely resembling a “highway project.”

And the worst part about it is, I don’t see Congressman Foster HERE today. You know where I heard he is? I don’t know if this is true or not, but I heard that today he is at a Jewel grocery store off of Sycamore Road in DeKalb“meeting the people.” He’s schmoozing, walking down the produce section. He’s shaking hands in between rounds of feeling the firmness of fruits and vegetables at the Jewel. Well put down that kumquat and listen up, Congressman. You’re looking to “meet the people?” WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

These projects are only the tip of the iceberg. 52 million dollars to them is considered mere pocket change. Here in Illinois, we have been subjected to the careless attitude by our elected officials that tax-and-spend policies “just work,” and if we disagree then we “must not know a whole lot.”

Well, I’m no Ivy Leaguer, but I can tell you that taking more money out of the pockets of hard-working Americans, in order to stuff the coffers of government just “DOES NOT WORK.” That KILLS economic growth.

The government sits there and they wonder why the economy looks bad. Why the housing market is in the tank. Maybe it doesn’t have to do with the fact that we “aren’t being taxed enough,” maybe, just maybe, we’re being taxed nearly to death!

People in America are cutting back. I don’t know about you, but at my house, we recently cancelled our AOL internet service, are cutting back on incidental expenditures, and some of you may or may not have noticed that these pants I’m wearing aren’t exactly dry-cleaned. We’re clipping coupons, making the tough decisions, and we’re bringing our spending under control. BUT OUR GOVERNMENT IS NOT.

Oh, on the contrary. We have Governor Pat Quinn who’s talking about raising the income tax by HALF. RAISING IT BY HALF.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think that Governer Quinn was EVEN ELECTED TO THAT JOB. No, if memory serves me correctly, he was Mr. Corrupto—I’m sorry, Mr. Allegedly-Corrupto— Rod Blagoijevich’s Lieutenant Governor. So this man was never elected, and yet he is trying to impose these borderline-Draconian tax increases that will only stifle growth, and keep us in the spot that we’re in economically. That doesn’t sound like a fix to me.

He’s talking about all these tax increases across the State of Illinois, and do you know why he’s doing proposing all these tax increases? Here’s why I think he’s proposing his tax hikes: I think he realizes that he has absolutely no chance of being reelected to the office. He has no chance, and rather than trying to do what the people want him to do, he’s going to do whatever his friends in the Illinois legislature what him to. He’s “taking one for the team,” but unfortunately that team isn’t OUR team.

By raising taxes, all that is accomplished is that the money is taken out of the hands of Americans who EARNED that money, and is given to Government officials who—reports show, often LOSE the money.

Don’t forget, Ladies and Gentlemen, we might not live in Crook County, but we are all Crook-county ADJACENT. We live in the state where a man was appointed to the US Senate by a man who is under FEDERAL INVESTIGATION.

Does anyone remember the embarrassment that Blagoijevich and “The Paper Senator,” Mr. Roland Burris caused our state? Does anyone remember how people talked about our state for weeks and months? We were the Political Circus laughing-stock of the country.

This is what people with the tax-and-spend mentality have done to our country. Luckily, we have some good guys on our side. Especially a man who isn’t here today, but has fought hard for the adjacent district. This man deserves our praise, he has been a hawk on spending, and a voice for people like you and me, Peter Roskam.

Now, I’ll turn you over to some people who know a bit more about what they’re talking about. Thank you very much for your time, and thanks for letting me vent a little bit.

Obamunism? Not without a fight!

"On your marks, get set, #dontgo"

ORIGINALLY POSTED TO MY PERSONAL WEBSITE: http://www.stanek.co.nr/

So, believe it or not, I swear I heard someone refer to The Messiah, President Obama as "a guy who reaches across the aisle." Imagine that! Well, yes, perhaps, maybe to touch the leg (in awkward O'Reilly-Obama-interview fashion [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luA0AMP51Gc -- wait for the 5:11 mark, if you can stand The Messiah's basking in his own hype])  of one of three sellout Republicans who signed onto the blatantly socialist stimulus package, which makes the New Deal and the Great Society look like a Give-a-Penny, Take-a-Penny."

According to economic experts something like 1/4 of America's printed money is now wrapped up in one way or another in this particular bailout and "stimulus" package. People are jumping for glee, because, just as one ecstatic Obama supporter put it, they think THE GOVERNMENT'S GOING TO DO EVERYTHING FOR THEM.  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg98BvqUvCc) People like her are talking cradle-to-grave entitlements, and I shudder to think what exactly Obama has in mind.

Oh, and did anyone see that Mr. Anti-War just committed 17,000 additional troops to Afghanistan? I thought he was "pulling troops out." I guess things change when you're sitting in the big-boy chair, huh B. Hussein Obama II? Yeah, it's easy to criticize people when you're being put on a pedistal by sycophants and people who follow you blindly, huh?

So now that you're in charge, sir, you're talking about making a bunch of changes, which have all proven to NOT WORK, and be generally destructive to the sociopolitical landscape, not to mention the economy all across the world, SUCH AS:

*Nationalizing banks

*Nationalizing healthcare

*Legalization of wholesale abortion

(IMPORTANT: No caps on method, not even botched-partial birth abortions WHERE BABIES ARE ACTUALLY BORN DESPITE THE PROCEDURE. Isn't that technically INFANTICIDE?)

*Forcing an online database of highly-sensitive MEDICAL RECORDS

*Amnesty for illegal immigrants

AND THIS LAST ONE PISSES ME OFF THE MOST:

*Building out infrastructure FOR PRIVATE COMPANIES?!?!?! WTF?!?!

YEAH, THIS ONE'S NO S***:

HE SUPPORTS PUTTING TAXDOLLARS INTO PROJECTS TO RE-DO INFRASTRUCTURE SUCH AS TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT WHICH WILL BENEFIT COMPANIES LIKE AT&T AND VERIZON?

THESE PLANS ARE EXACTLY WHY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS NEEDS A STRONG ANTI-SOCIALISM, PRO-CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT. LUCKILY, THAT MOVEMENT IS HERE, AND IT IS CALLED #dontgo (http://www.dontgomovement.com/)

Here's some back-story on #dontgo:

This is a bona-fide grassroots movement that began in response to an energy debate in the summer of 2008 when Nancy Pelosi gaveled the session of the House of Representatives to a close, even though several Republicans had not had the chance to speak OR EVEN TO VOTE regarding energy independence. When Republicans refused to yield the floor, Pelosi had their microphones cut, the cameras turned off, and the lights shut off. This was the ultimate betrayal of the fundamental principles of democracy by Speaker of the House Pelosi.

Despite Pelosi's unbelievably obvious attempt to stifle Republican momentum, these noble men did everything they could, getting local media, conservative talk radio, and even internet coverage. These men took to any and all outlets they could, and they broadcast the speeches (which pressed on still) and debate, over the internet in pure patriotic fashion.

Friends, this movement shows that even though it was time to go on vacation, WE DO HAVE SOME PEOPLE in congress who GENUINELY CARE about our nation's future. Our future lies in the productivity, grit, and sheer resourcefulness of Americans and American companies. Our future is one that has been the legacy of America throughout this country's past, and that is a pro-capitalism, pro-individual-freedom and pro-economic-growth. The future is not for America to curl up in the easy-route temptation of European-style sociopolitical/socioeconomic that would see America fall as the world's leading economic power, and would favor nations like Russia, China, and soon-to-be economic juggernauts Turkey and Mexico.

America is sick of government taking what's ours, getting too involved, spending America into the poor-house, and corrupting our center-right social values.

OBAMA DEMOCRATS: STOP GIVING AWAY AMERICANS' HARD-EARNED MONEY AS TAXDOLLARS. HOW ABOUT A TAX CUT THAT AMOUNTS TO A LITTLE MORE THAN $13.00 A WEEK?

HOW ABOUT A TAX CUT ON THE WEALTHY SO WE CAN CREATE JOBS?

HOW ABOUT NOT HAVING NINE THOUSAND EARMARKS IN THE LATEST ECONOMIC STIMULUS BILL?

HOW ABOUT PROTECTING THE LIVES OF ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS, INSTEAD OF FAVORING PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WHO DON'T LIKE US VERY MUCH TO BEGIN WITH?

--HERE IS A MESSAGE TO THE LEFT:

Conservatism is NOT dead. We're alive and well, and mad as Hell that you're throwing this beautiful, free, democratic, successful country into the trash.

Obama ran on change... And so far he's definitely succeeded. Because that's ALL WE'VE GOT LEFT IS CHANGE IN OUR POCKETS.
